  • Partial, Bi-Weekly Partial – 12 Minutes

Order of Activities

  • Start Timer
  • Picture – PRE
  • Verify size / gallons in Pool
  • Check Chems – Put chem readings in ION
  • Back Wash Filter (Monthly DE, Weekly Sand)
    • If Pressure High, note Filter clean needed)
  • IF ALGAE (more than limited algae)
  • Balance Chems – Put chems added in ION
  • Clean Pool
  • Verify ALL is PERFECT B4 you leave
  • If chems, way off, re-checks chems, at end, make minor adjustments
  • Picture – POST
  • Fill out TIMER CARD
  • Picture – TIMER CARD
  • End Timer

 

Activities

  • Verify size / gallons in Pool
    • Pool gallons = Width * Length * Aver. Depth * 7.5 (note: there are 7.5 gallons in 1 sq foot)
  • Check all chems
    • Monthly
      • CYA
      • Calcium
    • Weekly
      • Alkalinity
      • Ph
      • Chlorine
      • Salt
  • Back Wash detail
    • Cartriage – No backwash
    • Diatomaceous Earth – backwash mode 30 sec, then filter mode for 5 sec (do 3 times), add DE that pertains to sq ft of the filter
      • If filter has internal damage – you will see DE come out jets (blow-back) OR vacuum particles; report to office
    • Sand – backwash mode 90 sec, rinse mode (on multi-port) 30 sec, waste (on multi-port) 10 sec
      • If filter has internal damage – you will see Sand come out jets (blow-back) OR vacuum particles ; report to office
  • IF ALGAE (more than limited algae)
    • CALL THE OFFICE (have chem readings & pictures ready) – 830-276-2486
  • Balance Chems (for a pool in GOOD SHAPE, no/limited algae)
    • CYA/ Cyanuric Acid 50-80ppm) – CYA to bring UP
    • Calcium 200-400ppm – Calcium to bring UP
    • Alkalinity 80-120ppm – Muriatic acid to Bring DOWN; Sodium Bicarbonate to Bring UP
    • Ph Level 7.2-7.6 – Muriatic acid to Bring DOWN; If Alkalinity OK, Ph will fix itself (add Soda Ash to Bring UP < should never need to do)
    • If Chrlorine
      • Chlorine Level 3-5ppm (Target 1-2 over, as will burn off in several hours) – USE Cal-hypo/ Shock
      • Tabs – Based on Size (4-11)
    • If Salt
      • Salt (3000-3400) optimum is 3400(check control panel to be sure for the model) – Add Salt to UP
      • Chlorine Level 1.5-3ppm
        • TO ADJUST CHLORINE – ONLY Use Salt Cell settings (setting normally should be between 20 & 60 percent)
        • DO NOT USE ANY Cal-hypo/ Shock
        • DO NOT USE ANY Chlorine TABS
    • IF LARGE AMOUNT OF ALGAE
  • Clean Pool
    • FIRST – Empty all baskets (including Polaris)
    • Net Surface
    • Vacuum Bottom (on Full/Sign ALWAYS GET VAC out – even if perfect (we call this acting job for video camera)
    • LAST ALWAYS – Brush walls
    • VERY LAST – Empty all baskets (NOT Polaris)
  • Verify ALL is PERFECT B4 you leave
    • Valve positions, run times, pump baskets, check for leaks
    • NOTE: leaks drain out chems pre-maturely (chlorine is the 1st to go) >> Pool will look HORRIBLE NEXT WEEK
  • If chemicals way off, re-checks chems, at end, make minor adjustments
